What this covers

  • A comprehensive stool analysis covering digestion, absorption, inflammation and gut barrier markers.
  • An expanded version adding DNA sequencing of the bacteria and fungi present.
  • The sample is collected at home, on your own schedule, and posted to the lab.
  • A licensed provider decides which version is appropriate and goes through the findings with you.

What happens

It starts with a free call and nothing is decided on it. A licensed provider makes every clinical decision after that, with you.

A man on a sofa with a laptop open, talking on the phone.
  1. Book a free call with the care team.

  2. A licensed provider decides whether the panel is appropriate.

  3. You collect the sample at home and return it to the lab.

  4. A provider reviews the results with you.

People usually ask about this when

  • Bloating, irregularity or fatigue that has not been explained
  • Wanting a clearer picture before changing your diet
  • Chronic digestive symptoms you have been managing alone
  • Having already cut foods out and wanting to know whether it was the right call
  • Starting hormone or metabolic work and wanting digestion looked at alongside it

What to expect on the call

  • The call is with the Miracle Leaf® care team, not with a provider, and no panel is ordered on it.
  • You will be asked what brought you here and what you have already tried. Bring the detail, because it is what decides which panel fits.
  • You can ask what the panel covers, how collection works at home, and what happens afterwards, before deciding anything.
  • Nothing is charged for the call.
  • If you go ahead, a licensed provider reviews your intake and orders the panel where it is appropriate.

Have this ready

  • A photo ID, and the state you will be in at the time of your evaluation. A provider has to be licensed there.
  • A list of anything you currently take, including supplements and probiotics.
  • A rough timeline of your symptoms and anything you have already tried, so the conversation starts from where you are.
  • A shipping address for the collection kit. The sample is collected at home.

Miracle Leaf® does not evaluate, diagnose, prescribe or dispense. A licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate for you.

Common questions

What happens after the call?
If a licensed provider decides the panel is appropriate, a collection kit ships to you. You collect the sample at home and return it to the lab in the packaging provided. When the results are back, a provider reviews them with you.
How long does the first call take?
As long as your questions take. It is a phone call with the care team rather than a medical appointment, so there is no fixed slot to get through, and there is no charge either way.
Do I have to come into a clinic?
No. The sample is collected at home and posted to the lab. The call and the review afterwards are both remote.
Is this a test or a treatment?
A test. It describes what is there. Whether anything follows from it is a separate decision, made by a licensed provider.
Do I need to change my diet before collecting the sample?
Ask the care team on the first call. Some panels carry preparation instructions and some do not, and following the wrong ones makes the sample harder to interpret.
Who goes through the findings?
A licensed provider, including what the panel does not cover. A gut panel describes a snapshot, not a diagnosis.
What if I have already seen a gastroenterologist?
Say so on the first call. What has already been ruled out changes whether this panel adds anything, and a provider would rather know before ordering than after.
